Gulisi in the Hands of NGC

They opened the Gulisi Museum in Dangriga a year ago, and today NICH and the National Garifuna Council committed to deepening their relationship. This morning, Minister of Culture, Mark Espat and President of the National Garifuna Council Mike Polonio signed an agreement renewing NICH's commitment to the Gulisi Garifuna Museum in Dangriga. The signing was held at the Museum of Belize and the agreement sees NICH handing over management of the Museum to the NGC, while NICH provides a subvention to the museum for one year, with an option to renew. In its first year, Gulisi had over three thousand visitors.
