There’s a famous magician in town but he’s not here to help Dean Barrow figure out how to pay all government’s debts. His name is Graham P. Jolley and he’s a former banker but he flipped the script and his name to become Jolley Graham the psychological entertainer. He gave Keith a sample [click here] of the fine art of prestidigitation.

Jolley Graham, Magician
“Ever since I was a young child I was fascinated by this kind of thing and I thought what a wonderful advantage it would be in life if you did know what people were thinking so I developed a performance, an act, which is entertainment but at the same time it has a serious undercurrent.

It is a skill, a psychological skill, picking up clues from people’s behaviour. I often ask people to think of a number and I know that there is a high probability that they will think of particular numbers or if you ask them to pick a color and a particular color that they think of. It is a lot of probability, chance, but the skill is bringing it all together and being consistent.

I think the mind is an explored area and no one, even specialists, really know what the mind is capable of so the very concept, the very notion of knowing what someone is thinking is very attractive and compelling. We would all like to be able to do this.”

Jolley performs tomorrow night at the Jaguar Paw Resort.
