\"Hamala\" From Hopkins Boy

The Garifuna Collective is on a world tour in Europe right now, and they're doing so in support of their new album ABAN.

The video for the first single from that album is the ethereal sounding HAMALA. The director is a young filmmaker from Hopkins who grew up watching Garifuna artists from Stonetree Records produce music in his home village, and that inspired him to become an artist. He told us about the video he produced and the story behind it:

The name of the song translates to "Let Him Fly".

The new album ABAN is Available Worldwide on Stonetree Records in September.
