Former three term Orange Walk North Area Representative Elito Urbina passed away on Saturday. The 86 year old had been in failing health for a period we are told.
Urbina who won for two different parties in two different decades in the same constituency. He is latterly remembered as the UDP's area rep for Orange Walk North from 1993 to 1998 and Minister of Home Affairs. But he also represented the PUP there in the 60's.
But while he was a politician - he was also a beloved teacher in the town.
The man properly known as Elozequi Omar Urbina, Sr. was, above, all, known for his friendly nature and easygoing disposition.
One of his closes friends and former UDP colleagues, Ruben Campos remember him via phone today:
An Official Funeral will be held for Urbina on Thursday, 10 March 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the La Inmaculada Church in Orange Walk Town. Interment will follow at the Orange Walk Town Cemetery.
