Travellers liquors have launched a new international blend of aged rum. It's called Belizean Blue, they say it's a blend inspired by all that is intrinsic to Belizean identity.

The Rum was launched for the Belizean market today at the Travellers Museum.

We stopped by to learn what makes Belizean Blue a unique offering in aged Rum and found out from the distillers that this limited edition blend may just be the first of it's kind:

Belizean Blu will retail for $90 Belize both at the Traveler's museum and at the EXPO this weekend. And at the rate it's already selling, stock is only expected to last about two weeks.

Belize Boys' Bronze In Volleyball

Belize's male volleyballers are celebrating a bronze medal finish in the 14th Central American Under 19 volleyball championships. Now, a bronze medal may not sound like the best outcome, but it's the very first time Belize has won a medal in this category. And the players also won a bunch of individual awards.

That's why their finish has them looking forward to the future. Here's a video the team prepared:

For individual awards: Eleazar Mejia received Best Scorer, Best Server, AND 2nd Best Spiker. Nicanor Requena got Best Setter and Preston Smith got Best Opposite player of the tournament.

September is For Kids

And after two years, the Children's Rally was back in full swing and face to face. The previous two rallies were done virtually, but today - all across the country - school children got a chance to be around their peers from other schools and engage with the performances.

And according to the interim officer in charge for the Belize District Education Center, the rally is important for students to teach them about the importance of patriotism:

3,700 students participated in the Belize City rally. Other municipalities held their own rallies as well.
