Swing Bridge's Friendly Pooch Finds A Home

Last week, we introduced you to the friendly pooch at Swing Bridge. He endured abandonment and an attempted drowning but still, his tail wagged happily at passersby, and he slept soundly at the foot of the bridge everyday.

When we ran the story, a lot of dog lovers were interested in taking him in. We can tell you that one Ladyville resident did. We've reached out to him and he explained that the dog - whose name we learnt is Chekko - had injuries to his face and neck, and he is currently being treated. He also told us that the pooch was shy at first but is slowly warming up to his new family.

Chekko is healing just fine though, and once he is in better shape, we plan to pay him a visit.
