They call themselves the Sol Sisters and two American women who live on Caye Caulker are heading out on the journey of a lifetime. Leigh Ann Epperson and Elizabeth Meeker are traveling the length of the Barrier Reef - and they're doing it for charity.
We were there when they left off from Caye Caulker at 5:00 this morning:
They are fundraising for the Caye Caulker Humane Society and The Ocean Academy. They plan to cover between 30 to 40 miles daily in their Seaward Passat G3 Tandem Kayak.
