On Friday we told you about the once lively musician Horace Bryce who had fallen victim to the impacts of living with diabetes. As a result of the deadly disease, Bryce lost his leg and after that his vision slowly began to fade as well.

He reached out to the media to ask the public to help him undergo a procedure in Guatemala that would help him regain his sight.

Well, a conscientious teenager saw his plight and was moved by it. Dimitri Arguelles managed to pool funds to assist Bryce in getting this life changing treatment. We spoke with the donor and Bryce today.

Dimitri Arguelles, Donor

"I saw a story about Mr Bryce and I had money saved for anything I wanted, mainly computers and gadgets and stuff like that. But when I saw him I saw that he had already lost his leg and was going blind I knew that I already had enough and I am living good so I decided that maybe I can use my money. I had about $4,100 around there to donate so I decided to use my money for something better and I told my dad about it and he said he would put in the extra $100 to make it get to the $5000. And then on Saturday we went to a party and I met with my aunt Sully who is a member of rotary so we decided that we can come together and go live and give it more publicity in case anyone wants to donate anymore money but yeah that's how. I could never be blind, I cant imagine what it's like to be blind so I would rather give my money to him than have a new computer or something."

Horace Bryce, Donation Recipient

"First of all I am so blessed to you know find that man not only somebody, I thought it was somebody that have been grown or you know be a grown person but to find out a young man of such tender age, it really thrills my heart that God is wonderful and if you know me I am a musician in this country, I played with several bands I have been all over the country all over the world playing music and representing this country. It gives me a great feeling to know that I trust God in everything that I do on a daily basis and I really want to give thanks to dimitri and his family for reaching out to me and I am so honored to give a formal thank you to them."

Bryce's family is now making preparations for the surgery. The total amount of funding he has received is five thousand dollars. If you would like to assist you can call his sister Nicole at 601-7972.
