Elise-Gayonne Vernon represented Belize at the 71st Miss World Pageant this past Saturday in Mumbai, India. She didn't win, but pageant organizers are claiming a small victory in her placing in the top 40. Delegates from 121 countries competed for the title.

The Czech Republic candidate was the overall winner.
