Legendary Birder And Tour Guide Passes

And finally tonight, we note the passing of legendary tour guide, birder, and friend of the newscast, Rudy Burgos, otherwise known as Rudy Bird. We knew him as a true patriot, and a teacher at heart.

According to a post from the Ministry of Tourism, he was a lover of nature and a conservationist. He loved to share his extensive knowledge of Belize's birdlife and encouraged many to enjoy the beauty of the country. The post ends by saying, quote, "Beyond his remarkable knowledge, Rudy will be remembered for his kindness, humility, and the warmth he shared with all who knew him. His legacy lives on through the many people he inspired to cherish and protect Belize's natural treasures." End quote.
