But apart from financial literary classes, the BCG is also embarking on an educational campaign to get more of their officers vaccinated. While Commandant Soberanis didn't have the exact number on hand, they intend to increase it by bringing the message directly to the Guardsmen.

"As a staff, we have spoke about that, we have those in the organization who have still not taken the vaccine so we are embarking on a new education campaign, I think people are reluctant because of certain uncertainties and unknowns so we believe an education campaign will assist in developing confidence in taking the vaccine so we are working with our health officials for them to come in and have an educational campaign day where sailors are informed and at the same time have the vaccine readily available."
Currently, there are no cases of COVID among the Coast Guard officers.
