UB's Library just got an Asian infusion, 52 books on all facets of Japan, donated by that government and its international cooperation agency to the students and people of Belize.
And if you're one of those who believe that you can live a million lives through reading, you might be interested in walking the way of the samurai, learning how a closed society becomes one of the most industrialized in the world, and why a well-manicured garden in that distant land is considered high art. Cherisse Halsall has that story.
Any of these titles on Japan can be accessed at the University of Belize's Belize City library.
