Last night on the news we brought you a retrospective on the Belizean Studies Curriculum, a competency-based set of lesson plans that had its 5th anniversary today.

That anniversary was celebrated in grand style at the Government House today as the Ministry of Education recognized the teachers who trained and imparted the competency-based content to hundreds of students countrywide.

7News was at the ceremony and got some perspectives on the milestone anniversary from the CEO of Education Dian Maheia and one of the originators of the curriculum, Dr. Angel Cal. Here's more:
