That Senate motion is expected to pass at the next meeting of the Senate with support from the four independent Senators and the three opposition senators.

But, will the government Senators vote for it? Not likely, but who knows? They keep saying it is a probe into the UDP's shady business that gave birth to the Definitive agreement.

Kareem Musa held that line today:

Jules Vasquez:
"I know you're a keen observer of political history. You will know that your father, when he was prime minister, his administration faced a Senate probe in its second term. And you will know that Dean Barrow, in his second or early third term, also faced a Senate probe. Now the present administration is facing one, but in its first term, half, half way into that first term. And it's not a degree removed. It is the prime minister's ministry that's on the accusation for bringing a fraudulent, definitive agreement into the Cabinet Room."

Kareem Musa, Minister of Home Affairs

"Your Narrative boy, you do your own narrative. Listen, going back to my original interview on this, let us not talk about the UDP fecal matter Jules. A lot of this inquiry, as you would imagine, has to do with when this document was signed. Who signed it? The United Democratic Party? No, no, sir. not Ewrin because you're falling into their narrative."

"Then you have an attorney general. Now, listen to this. I saw him on the news the night before last night and every night saying, and imagine this. And it actually got past a lot of you saying, I was aware of this definitive agreement. But I did not know it got signed, listen."

Reporter:
"He was aware it was floating around."

Kareem Musa, Minister of Home Affairs
"Aware it was floating around. It was almost like he was playing hot potato and hiding from it. Man, you were the attorney general. You have a fiduciary duty to this country to make sure that if there is a fraudulent document floating around, it will not affect the Belizean people in the millions of dollars in damages. So that was reckless on his part. That was a dereliction of duty by the former attorney general to say, I know about it, but I don't want tto see it. I'm hiding from it."

"What kind of nonsense that you were the attorney general not just a lawyer."

Jules Vasquez:
"But I'm just asking you to comment on the Senate inquiry."

Kareem Musa, Minister of Home Affairs
"Yes, A lot of it will be based on that, about the UDP, how much land was given out by Hugo Patt. All of this will come out in the Senate inquiry. But yet you."

Jules Vasquez:
"But those are al corpses sir, the UDP is is a sarcophagus."

Kareem Musa, Minister of Home Affairs
"Just a few nails we need to hammer down in the corpses."

Jules Vasquez:
"But are you concerned that the live bodies of the PUP will be dragged before a Senate Inquiry?"

Kareem Musa, Minister of Home Affairs
"There's nothing to hide Jules. This is a UDP issue that will be examined at the Senate level and everything will come out there. There's nothing for the PUP to hide. We have to consider and I've said this already, Jules, if the UDP government signed something, you still have to look at it and say, what are we going to do with this?"

"That is all that happened at the cabinet level. Are we going to continue with this? Are we going to go to litigation, which it appears we are no choosing the route of litigation? And what will that result in in the hundreds of millions of dollars? Are we prepared for that based on a UDP fraudulent act?"

Jules Vasquez:
"It has an enabling legislation accompany it into the cabinet."

Kareem Musa, Minister of Home Affairs
"Because you have to consider it. You can't just consider, Oh, we approved this thing, we have to look at what does it mean, what the legislation that would go along with it. You have to look at that and it was rejected."

Musa, as we understand it, was one of the four ministers who spoke up in Cabinet against the Definitive Agreement.
