And more than just a fire station, the minister told us today that mainly firefighters, are abroad training to become EMT's:
Orlando Habet, Minister of Disaster Risk Management
"We are also happy to say that our firefighters who have engaged in the training for emergency management service, are really doing well so we have many of them who are now certified emergency management technicians, and one or two of the better ones who want to go further are going to proceed becoming paramedics, I think there is one already who is starting his paramedic studies. We also have some of them training in the United States at Richmond, Virginia in some of the county's doing the training and the reports that we get is that our firefighters are really good not only at the physical work that they do but also on their written exams and the things that they have to do."
