But there can't be a sustainable master plan for tourism if the locations the tourists are meant to visit remain at the mercy of climate change.
It's an existential issue that the National Climate Change office in partnership with the IOM is hard at work trying to combat.
They've started with a three-day familiarization workshop dubbed: The Migration, Environment, And Climate Change Nexus In Belize. The goal is to familiarize stakeholders with the entire scope of the oncoming realities poised to create climate refugees.
Again the workshop runs from the 9th to the 11th of February.
