And we also asked the minister about a situation that looks a lot like nepotism. His sister, Marcia Bouloy is the vice chair of the BTB Board of Directors and his Cabinet colleague's son, Rodwell Ferguson Jr, is also on the board. Minister Mahler explained that both of them have experience in tourism.
But is the talent pool so limited that the family members of ministers are the only ones who can do the job? Well, Mahler - like most PUP politicians - said, ask the UDP.
