And while the stakeholders in the sugar industry hold their breaths as they wait to hear what came out of the meeting, farmers who lost their crops during Hurricane Lisa last month are hoping that more help is on the way. According to the Minister, the final damage report was just finalized about a week ago.

"WE have submitted a comprehensive report to NEMO, I think that will be made public any time now, that has been submitted, that was the procedure, submit it to NEMO for their agriculture sector damages, we did that assessment already."

"I can't give you that figure yet but i have the report and I will give it to you. because it has been changing, everyday new reports come in, but the final report came in some time a week ago and so I want to look at it carefully before I release it, but I can give it to you that's no problem."
