Well known jewelry vendor and car dealer Ian Sanchez is hospitalized in Mexico tonight after a major accident. Reports are that Sanchez was towing a vehicle from Houston to Belize. As he reached an area some 37 miles outside of Vera Cruz at around 2:30 yesterday afternoon, he experienced a blow out. He ran off the road into a gully. Persons working nearby managed to pull him out of the wreck before the caught fire and reportedly exploded.
We spoke to family members who says Sanchez is in a hospital in Villa Hermosa under observation for a fracture to the skull, a fractured wrist and several lacerations to the face. He is expected to make a full recovery and will stay in Mexico only for observation. He is expected back home in the next couple of days.
