Baby Denver & Samantha Recovering in Universal Hospital

He was knocked down a week ago by the Honorable Marcial Mes and tonight the family of 2-year-old Denver Gomez has reason to hope. The child's family told 7NEWS that Denver along with his aunt - 15-year-old Samantha Romero are now in the Universal Hospital recovering.

Denver sustained serious injuries and was unconscious for days. He is now awake but his brain is still swollen. The family will consult an eye doctor tomorrow to determine if there was any vision loss. Meanwhile 15-year-old Samantha who received a number of head and body injuries is still awaiting surgery on her broken leg.
