And the UDP hopes that one of its 31 candidates, Corozal Southeast's Tony Herrera has recovered from his bout with COVID by then. Herrera said his symptoms are mild and he is self isolating at home - but his wife had to the hospitalised.
Faber says his family's COVID situation has been a stern reality check for his party, while also putting a damper on the election energy:
Jules Vasquez:
"Obviously now his campaign is interrupted, his spirit is also sapped, one, how does this affect you all and can you give an update on him and his family and then two, how has it affected you in your perception of what you are doing out there and have you taken a COVID test?"
Hon. Patrick Faber, UDP Leader-Elect

"I have not and I have not experienced any symptoms but and so that's the advice but I tried to be very conservative in terms of my own movement as I have expressed to you. I have tried to do my best to stay clear of situations although you will see that even when you do that things can creep up on you. I sent a message out to all of my candidates for instance earlier this week when Tony messaged to say that he was positive, to say that we have to be careful and it does add a damper on the campaign and it is not only that, his wife of course as you know is very ill, I think she has a pre-condition and so it is a very trying time for him, I suspect mentally as well but he has done the work in the constituency, he needs to recover and recover quickly as we are trying to ensure that he gets his rest and that he tries not to worry too much and once that is done he will be back on the campaign trail I would suspect before nomination day."
