And while the Itch/Choc families grieve the young mother of three, another family is mourning the death of another young mother.
34-year-old Evelin Azucena Garcia Zuniga reportedly died after she was stung by a bee. Her family says they believe she was allergic to the insect, because she had been stung before and developed difficulty breathing. But while she survived that incident, this time, she was at least an hour away from her home in Franks Eddy Village, and even further from anyone who could give her medical attention.
Her husband, Carlos Heron, was with her at the time, since he was working in the area which is known as "Dark Night."
With the help of a family friend, Karen Alfaro, we were able to speak with him today.
Carlos Heron, Husband

"They had breakfast around 9 in the morning. After that they were happy, then they went in the hammock and she was with her daughter playing in the hammock and he went to use the restroom. While he came back, he found out that the bee had stunned her on her arm. As the bee stunned her, she fainted and started to vomit and then because they live far in the bushes, they couldn't get attention right away, so they went to a neighbor to get assistance. They were looking for help and in between that time she was fainting and by the time they for help from the chairman to bring her out she was already dead. She was stung before and she reacted the same way, but she didn't succumb to that, until now again, she passed away."
