5 Covid Deaths

Tonight 5 more Belizeans, four men and one woman have died due to complications caused by COVID-19.

That number brings the country's total fatalities to 369.

And with information that 4 of the 5 fatalities are localized to Belize City, those numbers are among the highest one-day death toll we've seen for the city.

Also notable is that the Belize City district retains its high concentration of positive cases with tonight's number at 78, 53 of them in Belize City.

And, tonight as the Ministry of Health and Wellness confirms 169 new confirmed cases, there are also 31 new active hospitalizations, 7 of them in the COVID ICU.

The current number of confirmed active Covid cases is 1,282.
