And one of those COVID patients is PUP area Rep for Belize Rural North Marconi Leal Sr. Reports are that at around 3:00 this afternoon, was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial hospital due to what at the time was described as extremely low oxygen levels.
But at this hour according to the PUP Belize Rural North page says reports to C.E.O's family are that his situation has much improved and that he is now, quote: "doing okay."
Information to 7 News is that the family took Hon. Leal to the hospital for observation as a precautionary measure but it was there that Leal's attending physician who recommended that he be placed on a ventilator in order to stabilize his low oxygen levels.
Since then, the family has relocated him to the Belize Healthcare Partners, where he is currently undergoing further observation.
