The Ministry of Health and Wellness has released its COVID-19 report for the weekend, and it shows that 3 more persons died from the virus: 2 females and 1 male. All 3 patients were unvaccinated, and the country's total number of COVID casualties is now at 476.

Within the 3-day span of Saturday and today's date, a total of 3,990 tests were conducted, and out of that number, 436 new COVID patients were identified. From these results, the daily positivity rate is at 11.3 percent. There are 129 new cases under investigation, and 29 hospitalizations. 12 of those hospitalized patients are currently receiving intensive care.

Out of the 436 new patients, 90 are from the Belize District, and 63 out of that total are specifically from Belize City. The Cayo District had the highest number of new patients at 105. There are 34 from Corozal, 58 from Orange Walk, 19 from San Pedro, 78 from Stann Creek, and 52 from Toledo.
