Three men and a woman are dead from COVID 19 tonight. Two of them were unvaccinated, one was partially vaxxed and one full vaxxed.
One was from the Belize District, one from Orange Walk, one from Toledo and one from San Pedro. 32 patients are in the hospital, 20 of them unvaccinated. Of the 17 ICU admissions, 11 are also unvaxxed.
There are 159 newly confirmed cases and this time, that majority come from Cayo - 35. Belize follows closely behind with 34. There are 2,325 active cases and 227 new recoveries. The total number of deaths is one short of 500.
But in lighter news, one man has survived over 3 weeks in the KHMH ICU and lived to tell. Ashley Mclaughlin spent 23 days on high flow nasal canula oxygen machine. He finally tested negative for COVID and is back home tonight.
