The war on Palestine rages on, and in the past month, over 10,000 Gazans have been killed, including over 4,000 children. Of those kids, over a 100 of them never even made it to their first birthday.
And the world looks on as bombs fall on homes, hospitals, churches, and refugee camps.
But while some world leaders reject ceasefires and funnel billions to Israel, that has not stopped protesters from all over the world from taking to the streets in support of Palestine. Some in the US have even blocked ships carrying weapons to Israel.
Here in Belize, no such protest has happened, but Belizean-Palestinian, Ambassador Assad Shoman, who appeared on last night's Uncut, said he's willing to lead the charge.

"I believe that people here are more moved about this than they were about the Vietnam war, the general public in Belize. Number one because you have television, which you didn't have then, you have more knowledge, they're seeing it day by day, it's like a horror movie being played out in serial form."
Jules Vasquez:
"So what would you like Belizeans to do about this? This doesn't have anything to do with us."
Assad Shoman, Belizean-Palestinian
"I would want to know, can I ask a question? I want to ask the Belizeans a question, who, if anybody is willing to join me to picket the United States Embassy and say stop the genocide? Stop saying that there can't be a ceasefire because you are openly endorsing killing of babies, please just stop that, nothing else. Just stop it. Who is willing to join me on that?"
Jules Vasquez:
"So you are willing to do that?"
Assad Shoman, Belizean-Palestinian
"Of course I am. Aren't you?"
Jules Vasquez:
"That's not my role, sir. I'm willing to cover it. "
Assad Shoman, Belizean-Palestinian
"And why is it my role?"
Jules Vasquez:
"Because you are a fighter."
Assad Shoman, Belizean-Palestinian
I'm a writer.
"Can I say this, that Belizeans, I know some people have been asking me how can we help? Not in the political sense but the real sense, for babies. And I think you should check on that but I know of on outfit called the medical aid for Palestinians, MAP."
Jules Vasquez:
"There's a poll up on the Facebook page… what it says, 30 votes, and what are the votes saying?"
Assad Shoman, Belizean-Palestinian
"What is the question?"
Jules Vasquez:
"Are you willing to do something about the Israeli war on Palestine?"
Assad Shoman, Belizean-Palestinian
"And what's it saying?"
Jules Vasquez:
"The majority is saying no, are you willing to do something about the Israeli war on Palestine? No. Exactly and that's the global reality. If you poll most nations, most developed countries, they aren't."
Assad Shoman, Belizean-Palestinian
So what does that say about our humanity? I don't believe that's true. [01:40:52.28]
