And while millions across the world are pleading with the Palestinians for a ceasefire, there are still millions more - including the US and UK governments - who support Israel. But according to Shoman, subscribing to the Zionist movement is inherently racist, since it involves ethnically cleansing Palestinians, and establishing a Jewish state.
So when the October 7th attack by Hamas occurred, many were quick to call it terrorism, without taking into account the 75 year history between the two states. Palestinians have been displaced, bombed, shot dead in the streets, and Gazans have been forced into what is called the world's largest open air prison.
And that's because, as Shoman put it, Palestinians are not considered by the Israelis as humans. He explained more last night.
Assad Shoman, Belizean-Palestinian

"Why would anybody say that Hamas is a terrorist organization, and not freedom fighters, not anti colonial liberation movement, why? I think because, for example, they killed many civilians, not 1,400 because many of those are combatants, but let's say 1,000. So they killed 1,000 or 500 whatever civilians, they must be terrorist. But the IDF, the so called defense force, who have killed thousands of children."

"That's how you defend yourself? By killing babes? By beheading babies with bombs? That's the logic? That logic can only sustain itself and that's why it does if it is fundamentally racist. You can't tell me that this thing in October was unprovoked when you do all of that to me, which yourself mentioned, unless you think I am not a person, I am not a human being like you. Because if I did that to you, you would have a right to defend yourself."
Jules Vasquez:
"Mr Netanyahu said, it is a struggle between the children of light and the children of darkness, between humanity and the law of the jungle. This use of animalistic tropes is a way of making it very clear that this is rooted in white supremacy."

"Absolutely. Franz Fanon, you know we have always been fans of Franz Fanon, he said, when the colonist speaks of the colonized, he uses zoological terms. The colonized roar with laughter every time they hear themselves called an animal by the other, for they know, they are not animals and the very moment they discover their humanity, they begin to sharpen their weapons to secure their victory. Animals and things, that's normal for the white supremacist to call the colonized."
"It's a state built on racism and an exclusionary outlook, especially exclusionary. And the objective is to eliminate the natives, either by killing or expelling or by neutralizing completely. And unfortunately for them, the Palestinians are refused to be neutralized."
