GOB Will Chip in On Old Northern Highway Work

Last night we told you about hard-scratch efforts by UDP Belize Rural North standard bearer Edmund Castro to repair the Old Northern Highway. Well it seems the chief engineer from the Ministry of Works, Cadet Henderson was also watching that story. Today Henderson visited the site and expressed his appreciation, commenting that his department was unaware of the complete state of disrepair that the road had fallen into. He has since pledged to provide assistance to Castro's work crew contributing material and labor to help Castro out.
