8 More Citizens on Patrol

Citizens on Patrol, don't call them vigilantes, they are the eyes and ears of the Police Department when the real cops aren't looking. Yesterday eleven more officers were officially sworn in as citizens on patrol after undergoing a training program at the police academy in Belmopan. The new "COPs," as they are called, were welcomed by Police Commissioner Gerald Westby. Eight of the new cops are from Belmopan and three are from Benque Viejo.
