But what happens if you get promoted only to find out that it was all a big mistake. That's just the nightmare scenario that Sgt. Clinton Magdaleno found himself in when his name was erroneously added to that promotion list.
But the error was quickly remedied leaving Magdaleno none too happy. A family member of his took to social media to express their frustration. And, this morning the Commissioner commented on the promotion that wasn't.

"Well I don't know Sargent Magdaleno was promoted to inspector, that it not true. I know that my staff member had made an error in putting Magdaleno's name on the promotion list and I notified him that Magdaleno's promotion did not go through, so he sent out a message yesterday to retract what he had done. If the family member is a police who is ranting on social media then of course that person would be in breech and would have to feel the consequence of her actions."
The Facebook poster a Sgt. Selgado is in fact a member of the force.
