As the PUP prepares for its caucus meeting tomorrow, tonight there is great anticipation over who will and won't declare their support for the Prime Minister's renegotiated Universal debt package at Friday's House meeting.

We have heard from reliable sources inside the PUP that as many as 5 members, including a backbencher, may decide not to vote in support of the new debt package. That's a consequential number because added to the UDP's 8, it could prove pivotal, especially as one member, Dave Burgos from range walk east is reported to be out of the country, leaving only 28 in the house.

But again, we stress the situation is very fluid, and those from the Prime Minister's camp are confident that the majority of those members who are not presently on board will come around, or be brought around by the time the vote is taken.

In that regard, National Campaign Manager Ralph Fonseca held a meeting today with his campaign team and invited standard bearers to basically lay down the hard line, that who isn't with the PM on this one, is against the party.
