And we also spoke to the Mayor, Bernard Wagner about this retirement program. He explained the reason for them moving so quickly with the plan, and said that they shouldn't have even had to be in this predicament since previous councils were to ensure that those reaching the retirement age did just so.
Now he hopes that future councils won't have to go through the same.
