We also spoke to the Prime Minister today about government's handling of the OCEANA referendum petition.
The deadline for the Chief elections Officer to certify or de-certify OCEANA's 22,000 signatures passed almost four weeks ago, and still there has been no response on it.
Today the Prime Minister said that both sides are talking:
Jules Vasquez
"Is the government wilfully ignoring Oceana's referendum trigger?"

John Briceno, Prime Minister
"I don't think it's a matter of wilfully ignoring it, but we felt that since we already have the People's Constitutional Commission ongoing right now that that would be the best place to be able to address it through the PCC, since they were asking even for the amendment of the Constitution."
"So we felt that it would have been best to do that."
