When the Prime Minister stood up after speeches by his own Belmopan Mayor and the Leader of the Opposition - he apologized to the gathering of diplomats and fancy folks.
We know he was taking a dig at Shyne Barrow - but was he also swiping at his own mayor? We asked him today:
Jules Vasquez
"I know you spoke about Shyne Barrow's address being uncharacteristic of Belize and you apologized for it. Were you also do apologizing for your mayor, your Belmopan mayor's address which was really addressing internal issues?"
John Briceno, Prime Minister
"And then after I answer you I'm going to criticize me for that afterwards. I shall keep the fifth on that one."
Jules Vasquez
"Will she run for Belmapan mayor for PUP again? Sheran Palacio."
John Briceno, Prime Minister
"She has applied and the chairman will answer you after this."
