163 Candidates To Choose From

This past Wednesday, we took you to four different municipalities for Nomination Day. You saw the crowds and the candidates of the two major political parties, but they aren't the only names you'll see on the ballots. A total of 163 nominations were received; 67 for both the PUP and the UDP, 7 for the Belize Progressive Party, 11 for the People's Democratic Movement, and 11 independent candidates. Only those who get 10% of the ballots cast can get back their 50 dollar deposit.
