The Battle Over Stake Bank continued in the high court today - with a bevy of big time Belize and British attorneys.

Atlantic Bank and the Honduran company, OPSA are suing Mike Feinstein and Stake Bank Enterprises for fraudulently registering 23.4 acres of reclaimed land on the island in his name rather than in the name of OPSA.

The case was supposed to start today in the High Court before Justice Goonetilleke but Feinstein's team of British attorneys sought a stay of the proceedings in order to appeal a refusal to allow them to admit fresh evidence. The matter was adjourned to allow for a related Court of Appeal decision to come down before any determination is made.

Leaving the court, developer Mike Feinstein referred to his opponents as "Banksters":

Mike Feinstein, Ousted Stake Bank Developer
"All I can tell you is, you know, it's a sad time for beliefs when the government takes the side of banksters."

The Feinstein group put out a statement saying he "now leads one of the most formidable and internationally acclaimed legal teams in the Caribbean. A case that transcends borders, politics, and power, because in the end, justice must prevail."

For sure it is an all star cast of attorneys; in total, the appearances are as follows: Eamon Courtenay, SC, with Iliana Swift for Atlantic Bank and OPSA.

Richard Salter, KC with Rumen Cholakov, Hector Guerra and William Lindo for the 1st defendant-applicant for Feinstein and

Dean Barrow, SC, with Agassi Finnegan for stake Bank Enterprises in receivership.
