Yesterday you heard from the former Minister of Home Affairs Kareem Musa and his attorney Eamon Courtenay in regards to Joseph Budna's consititonal claim against the state and state actors like Minister Musa.
Courtenay said the claim against Musa was wholly misguided because it named the Minister as the respondent.
Today we spoke with attorney Arthur Saldivar for his take on yesterday's court proceedings. He spoke first about the context of why the constitutional case had to be brought.
Arthur Saldivar, Attorney at law

"This is the initial stage of a very important matter constitutionally, forget the personality involved, in so far as what one may think of him and what he may have done in the past but look at it as from the point of view as a citizen. You know it is a funny thing when I think about it because you know every embassy is considered a foreign country so they didn't have to go to Arenal they could have gone right to the Guatemalan embassy, drop him off there and he would have been in Guatemala and let the Guatemalans do what they need to do if that is what they wanted to do."
"The person who they kidnapped, the person that was kidnapped had a conviction in a foreign country. This is not somebody who was difficult to render legally to that foreign country if that was the desire. They did not have to break the law to do it. That is all I am saying here I don't want to be here and having to have this matter be brought before the court like this but I am compelled to do it because it could happen to any one of you or your relatives if it took that to get someone who already had a conviction what would they do to silence somebody who has nothing against them?"
