Turning now to Foreign Affairs,, reports say there could be a big change coming at the top of that ministry - as CEO Amalia Mai is reported to be headed for the exits. Mai - who is a Briceno loyalist - was appointed CEO by the Prime Minister when the PUP was elected in 2020. She didn't have an optimal relationship with her first Minister Eamon Courtenay, but outlasted him. However, sources tell us, she isn't a favorite of new minister Francis Fonseca either, and reports say that when the PUP won a second term, she was placed on a one year contract - which has now ended. With that she is expected to be handing over and transitioning out of the office shortly.
Today, Fonseca didn't want to comment on it:
Reporter:
"Are you considering a change in CEO at MOFA will Amalia Mai be leaving?"

Francis Fonseca, Minister of Foreign Affairs "We, that is a matter, as you know CEO's that is a matter for the office of the prime minister so l will leave it to them to make any official announcement on that matter.
There have been no reliable reports yet on who might replace Mai.
