We also asked the PM about Elvin Penner and the BDF explosive materials he was found with.

According to Penner, what prompted him to go there was a bush fire on private lands. Well today the PM says that those lands should not be anyone's private property as the BDF and British army used it and there can still be bombs in the area:

John Briceno, Prime Minister
"Large swats of that land was land that the BDF and the British army used. That land is kind of dangerous because there's still bombs there that did not explode and you go into the ground and you can't see it and it's growing, bush cover it and all that kind of thing. Those lands should not be sold, they should not be out there to market internationally and then you have investors that do not know better thinking that they're buying a nice piece of land in a nice area because the Baldy Beacon is beautiful and then to come and find out that there could be a bomb in the land that you bought, I think it's unethical and that should have never happened and I wish we could find a way how we can get that land and then put it back into conservation but then you know then that will, Mr.Penner and his investors will want millions of dollars should we do that but we need to find out what could be done about it."

Reporter
"Would you be able to confirm if that area is still labeled as the BDF training area even though private lands is in the middle of it?"

John Briceno, Prime Minister
"Well it still is but what we have to do, the BDF is, if they can't continue to operate there we have to find somewhere else because a lot of times they shoot live ammunition in that area and you have civilians walking out here, they could get hurt or God forbid can get killed and so unfortunately we may need to find another area where they can go and operate and I think it's shameful that the previous government allowed that."
