PM Says Stalled Customs Transfers Going Through

In other news - as we have been reporting, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Public Service have been at odds over transfers.

The Ministry of Finance is insisting on making certain transfers of customs officers, while the Ministry of Public Service has put a stop on all transfers.

Today the PM clearly didn't want to talk about it but said this transfers will proceed:

"Well I've had a discussion with Minister Usher and I think now he appreciates what is it that we're trying to do so the transfers in Customs will proceed."

"Did the public service counter the Ministry of Finance with the decision. Did they countermand it?"

John Briceno, Prime Minister
"Well, it's going to happen."
