UNCAC "we have been hearing about it since 2016! But it's still not being implemented in Belize.
Well, it may be because there's just no political will.
During the roundtable discussion with the media, the president of the Chamber discussed it candidly:

"That was signed in 2016. We are exactly 10 years milepost and what substantively has occurred? Nothing."

"And there has to be a reason for that."

"There's no political will because the politicians look at it from both sides of the fence as if we're putting on bangles. We won't be able to do the kind of business that we're currently doing. And then we look like fools in the international community because we've signed onto something and we're not holding our end of the bargain."
