That statement came from the Chamber, the Belize Network of NGOs, and the NTUCB. Today the NTUCB held a meeting with the UDP to discuss their shared issues.
We'll tell you about that shortly, but first NTUCB President Ella Waight told us about yesterday's meeting with the Chamber:

Ella Waight, President - NTUCB
"Again we are all on the same page it is a matter that is very concerning, we felt and we have always had meetings with the social partners we did not meet for a while, and it is sad that sometimes it will take these national issues to get us back around the table, but we are partners in ensuring that Belize goes down the correct path whenever it comes to any kind of investment or any kind of negative effects on our Belizean people. The meeting was very progressive and I think we all agree that we must take action now, time is not on our side and that is what we are doing the time is now to move."
