Last night in Chetumal, Belize's national basketball team lost to the Mexican national team again. The final score was 91 to 73, an 18-point margin. This is the third loss in a row to the Mexicans, all by a deficit of 17 points or greater. The leading scorer was Kenton Paulino who had 19 points. In the ongoing COPABA tournament, by virtue of beating Belize, Mexico has secured the higher seed and will now face El Salvador, while Belize must face Costa Rica which is considered a regional powerhouse.
