And while the Ministry of Health and Wellness is announcing these additional testing sites, the National Sports Council and the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and E-Governance are putting Belizeans on notice that competitive contact sports will be allowed to return tomorrow.
But, this change comes with a few rules and guidelines that the general public and sporting organizations must follow.
All persons and organizations who want to engage in contact sports must provide 2 weeks' notice for the processing of such approval by the Ministry and the Sports Council. And no fans will be allowed to attend competitions in person. Next only vaccinated athletes, coaches, managers, referees, and officials can be involved and will be granted access to facilities.
All competitive sporting activities must have the presence of uniformed police and an NSC official. That official has the authority to stop games if safety protocols are breached.

In Cayo, the approved facilities are the Santa Elena Sporting Complex, the Norman Broaster Stadium, and the Victor Galves Stadium.
