And while the storm continues to move west northwest at 6:00 pm - eventually that is forecast to change to a due west heading.

But, what if instead of west, it starts to go more south? We asked the Chief Met about that:

Jules Vasquez
"Is there anything foreseeable that could, again, push it back south? We spoke about the high -pressure system from the southeast of the U.S., but is there anything that could interact with it that could see it start to tick down?"

Ronald Gordon, Chief MET Officer

"In terms of whether there will be any system to push it back down, we still are not completely… I would not want to say no, there is always that small probability that you could have some anomalous feature developing that would do that, and that would be perhaps the ridge building a bit stronger than the models that are suggesting."

"But again, we have to go with the model consensus. There are several models that are pointing in the same direction, and that gives us more confidence that they are seeing the same thing, and therefore they are heading into that general direction."
