After 96 hours without internet or e-mail, BTL's customers finally got relief late this afternoon when internet bandwidth capacity was restored to 100%. A BTL press release says congestion will still occur due to the backlog of e-mails that have accumulated since their network failed on Friday afternoon. The company is encouraging customers to use the limited access to send and receive any emails that were pending. The company next has to determine how it will live up to its stated commitment that it is considering giving rebates. The company says that it has yet to calculate the cost of the entire collapse.
And if you are a First Caribbean Bank customer, the news is even better because the bank confirmed to 7NEWS this evening that all their ATM machines are back up and running.
