Attempted Rapist Jailed

Last night we reported on a violent sexual predator accused of chasing down, sexually assaulting, and then roughing up a 12-year-old girl. Tonight we have the name of that man and he is 40-year-old Brian Willis who had in his day court today pleading guilty to aggravated assault and harm. Police say that on Sunday night his 12-year-old victim was walking in the area of the Farmer's Market when she was approached by Willis who accosted her and dragged her into the area of the flag monument and started to aggressively sexually assault her. She somehow managed to break free and ran towards Mahogany Street with Willis in pursuit. He eventually caught up to her and dragged her behind the Mahogany Street Taxi Stand where he again started to fondle her this time ripping off her blouse. Her cries for help were heard by a passing police constable who cuffed Willis and took him to the station. Willis was taken to jail while his victim was treated for bruises to her hand and face. Willis was sentenced to 3 years for the aggravated assault and an additional year for the harm so he will be off the streets for 4 years.
