Tourist Killed in Boat Accident

On Saturday a tourist was killed out in Caye Caulker as he snorkeled near the barrier reef. Raymond Link along with a woman were in the waters off the coast of Caye Caulker snorkeling when a 15 foot skiff ran over him. The propeller of the boat fatally cut link to the head and other parts of his body. Yesterday, police formally charged 43 year old Walter August of Belize City with manslaughter by negligence and causing death by careless conduct. He was granted bail of $4,000 and the matter was adjourned until January 27th of next year.
