Daniel Cano and other representatives of SIF were also present yesterday for the awarding of contracts to contractors to fix 1 million dollars' worth of streets in 4 municipalities across the country.

"In Belmopan the contract has been awarded to Belize Roadway Construction for the enhancement of a one-way street and parking area eastside of the Belmopan bus terminal. I won't get into the details - keep it short. In San Ignacio, a contract has been awarded to Castillo Equipment and Construction - and no relationship, let's make that publicly known - for the enhancing of 18th Street between Ochoa and Bluebird Streets in San Ignacio."
"In Orange Walk, a contract was won by L&R Construction were they will be enhancing Avilez Street between Main Street and Victoria Avenue and finally in Orange Walk which is the enhancing of Tangerine Street and then there is Corozal which is the enhancing of the section of Zuzuk Street."
